Gu Won Best Student Paper Award at COLT 2021

Congratulations to LIDS student Yuzhou Gu (EECS) for winning the Best Student Paper Award at the 2021 Conference on Learning Theory (COLT 2021). His paper it titled with “Stochastic block model entropy and broadcasting on trees with survey,” coauthored with his supervisor, LIDS professor Yury Polyanskiy (EECS), as well as Elisabetta Cornaccia and LIDS alum Emmanuel Abbe from EPFL. COLT is organized by the Association for Computational Learning (ACL) and is a leading conference on the theory of machine learning.
