MIT Admission 2018

MIT gave admissions decisions to the Class of 2022 on March 16, 2018. For this class, the freshman applications are 21,706. The freshman admits are 1,464. The admission percentage is 6.7%. MIT, Stanford, and every member of the Ivy League, with the exception of Yale, set record-low rates for admission to the Class of 2022.

The selection process at MIT is holistic and student centered. Each application is evaluated within its unique context. No school, state, or regional quotas are applied; neither is preference given to those with alumni relations.
